My parenting skills are being criticised by my boyfriend's judgemental sister | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: ACCORDING to my boyfriend’s sister, I’m a work-shy  scrounger and had a baby to get a council flat.

She is always criticising my parenting skills and I know she looks down on me because I get universal credit.

I’m 27 and, through no fault of my own,  a single mum to my son, who is three.

My boyfriend is 30 and his sister is 34. They’re very close.

He tells me to ignore her but I can’t.

She’s always sticking her nose in where it’s not wanted and it leads to arguments between us.

I want him to defend me and tell her where to go. Instead, he sticks up for her, making excuses and saying she’s just a forthright person.

He looks up to her, like he’s still a little boy and she’s his big sister, and he asks for her opinion on everything.

But if he listens to her opinion about me, I can’t see our relationship lasting.
