Jamie Foxx is “doing so much better” nearly two weeks after being hospitalized for a “medical complication,” according to Nick Cannon.
The “Masked Singer” host revealed to Entertainment Tonight on Sunday that the 55-year-old actor is “awake” and “alert.”
“We love it. That’s family right there,” Cannon, 42, said.
The former Nickelodeon star also teased a “special” favor for his “big brother” that will “be out there soon.”

Although he played coy on the nature of the surprise, Cannon hinted, “I was reluctant to go all the way there and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it’s a beautiful thing.”
The “Drumline” star’s update comes on the heels of his touching Instagram tribute to Foxx.
In the April 15 post, Cannon asked his social media followers to speak “words of affirmation” over the Oscar winner.
“Let’s all speak complete and total recovery for the most talented human on earth with a Spirit bigger than this small planet!!” he wrote at the time.
“Continuing to send Prayers, healing energy and Love Frequencies your way Big Bro!!” the “All That” alum continued. “You know how much I love you Family🙏🏾.”
Three days prior, Corinne Foxx revealed her dad’s health scare in an Instagram statement signed by the “Foxx family.”
The 29-year-old explained, “My father … experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
Entertainment Tonight reported Wednesday that the “Django Unchained” star is “healing.”
Additionally, a source told CNN last week that medical professionals have been “running tests” and are “still trying to figure out what exactly happened.”
The singer was photographed filming “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz one day before his health scare.
He has remained hospitalized in Georgia as production carries on with his body double after a brief break.
The movie previously paused filming in March when Foxx allegedly fired four people in an on-set meltdown that has Diaz considering re-retiring from acting.
While the actress has yet to address Foxx’s health scare publicly, Martin Lawrence and many other celebrities have sent well-wishes.
Lawrence gave rare insight into his friend’s experience on Friday when he told Extra that Foxx is “doing better.”
“My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him,” the “Martin” alum gushed, calling Foxx the “best entertainer” and “good person.”
