A stunning stripper insisted she is a lot smarter than people think as she spoke about the industry’s biggest misconceptions.

Lola, who is from southern France but works in London, earns money in gentlemen’s clubs to pay for acting classes.

And she said being a stripper involved a lot more than just “showing your a**e and t**s” to randy blokes.

Offering her insight, Lola, 31, told the Daily Star: “It’s all about psychology, being witty, fast, smart, funny and giving them attention when they need it.

“You need to know how to be a psychologist, therapist, hostess, girlfriend, a shoulder to cry on and an entertainer at the same time so if you are dumb I don’t think you can do that to be fair.

“It’s all about being empathetic and using psychology on all the different men that come to the strip club and adapting your attitude depending on the man.”

She added: “Many of my friends use striping to finance studies, some work in finance now and some are therapists. There are extremely smart women working in stripping.”

Lola moved to London when she was just 18 and she worked various jobs from waitressing, handing out flyers on the street to being a corporate PA.

And the model, who dreams of one being an actor, said it’s frustrating that people make assumptions about her intelligence.

She explained people are surprised by how clever she is because they judge her both for her appearance and her job.

“It does bother me, big time,” Lola said. “I am classified as a beautiful woman, I’m not saying I am, I’m saying that’s how people portray me and straight away people think I am not nice or smart because of my look but that has been the fight my entire life.

“Because I am glamorous and I do my make up and do my hair it does not mean that I am dumb.”

She added: “It is very tiring to always have that view on females in the adult industry. People change their mind about strippers once they know me.

“What the media portrays is the basic stripper image, it does exist but it’s not all like that. They don’t expect someone who is, let's say, classy and well spoken and not taking drugs or drinking alcohol and being crazy.”

Lola described herself as “playing a character when she’s working” but said in reality she is just a “simple girl” who enjoys a cup of tea before getting an early night.

And she said she and her colleagues would never have fallen for the infamous “Tinder Swindler” – who was jailed in Israel after being convicted of multiple romance frauds.

“We would have smelled the bulls**t miles away,” she laughed.

Last week Lola exposed the worst type of British stripping clients – from drunks who throw up to stinky men.

Revealing the most revolting guests, she said: “You have the drunk guys who throw up and they stink.

“You ask if they are OK and they just get sick everywhere. In general they are the worst.

“It actually happens all the time and they can’t handle their drink. We had one guy who p*ssed himself too. It is disgusting.”

But on the flipside, the job can also be highly rewarding.

She concluded: "The best part of our job is also how much it teaches you about life and how it makes us really strong and powerful.

"If you put [traditionally educated people] in a tricky situation they would have no idea how to deal with it because all they know is books. Being educated doesn't mean you are street smart."

Lola's book, Strip: The Diary of a Hustler is available both in paperback and on Kindle here.
