A first class plane passenger who left his wife in coach with their two children so he could ‘catch up on work’ got called out by his spouse for chatting to his female seatmate.

Jordynn Wynn, from Los Angeles, took to TikTok to share her point of view of the ‘awkward encounter.’

The 32-year-old explained how she and a fellow passenger had been unexpectedly upgraded to first class on their four-hour flight.

The pair ended up chatting for around 20 minutes before the man’s wife – who was sitting in coach with their two children – believed to be aged five and two – came to confront him.

In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 470,000 times, Jordynn shared further detail on the encounter.

The TikToker, who estimated the man was in his late 30s or early 40s, described how the male passenger had first struck up a conversation by informing her that first class perks included unlimited free alcoholic beverages.

He told Jordynn that he was a professor specializing in nature conservation, en route to give a speech on the topic.

‘Which is actually very interesting to me,’ Jordynn said.

‘And so I’m just asking a bunch of questions – like not flirting, just chatting about nature conservation,’ she continued.

‘At some point, he tells me that his wife is actually in the back with the two kids, because he’s very far behind on the project, and he was sitting in first class so he could get it finished.’

But then, after 15 to 20 minutes go by, the wife suddenly appeared next to him ‘with the babies’ and was visibly ‘p****ed.’

She then took the younger child and ‘plops the baby… in his lap and is like, “If you’re not going to work, the least you can do is watch one of the babies.”‘

Other social media users were quick to weigh in on the debate with comments overwhelmingly taking the wife’s side

The man tried to diffuse the situation by telling his wife, ‘”she was just asking how we met!” – which I did, I did ask that,’ Jordynn added.

The couple proceeded to get into a ‘heated, awkward conversation right next to me,’ while Jordynn was forced to make small talk with their five-year-old daughter.

To wife reportedly seethed: ‘”We’ve been watching you with your head turned over here for the last 20 minutes.”‘

Jordynn admitted her kneejerk reaction was to judge the woman as being ‘grumpy.’

But shortly thereafter came to the realization: ‘What partner leaves their partner in the back of a plane while they’re in first class, drinking whiskey, with a two-year-old and a five-year-old, on like a three- to four-hour flight.

Other social media users were quick to weigh in on the debate with comments overwhelmingly taking the wife’s side.

‘If my husband took the upgrade and left me in economy with two kids he wouldn’t make it out alive,’ one wrote.

Another mused: ‘I think if he has given you the baby to hold, mama bear would end up on the no-fly list.’

And a third simply added: ‘I’m team wife on this one.’

But the unnamed man is not the first responsibility-shirking husband to ditch his family in coach.

Last month, the internet was aghast at another gentleman who had shelled out on first-class seats for him and his friend – but skimped on his wife’s ticket, booking her economy.
