REVEALED: Worst dressed stars on the Grammys 2023 red carpet

Frock horror! Shania Twain is unrecognizable in wacky polka dot suit complete with matching hat and bright red wig as she leads worst dressed Grammy stars – while Lizzo opts for VERY dramatic floral ensemble

  • The 65th annual Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon
  • A-List stars took to the red carpet, but not everyone got it right on the night
  • Leading the fashion missteps were stars such as Shania Twain and Lizzo

Music’s biggest night kicked off with a mix of glamorous styles as stars from across the world came together for the 2023 Grammy Awards ceremony.

While the red carpet was full of typically stylish ensembles, a host of celebrities at tonight’s event seemed to miss the mark – despite their best efforts.

Veteran hitmaker Shania Twain once again looked unrecognizable on the red carpet as she arrived at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles in a polka dot suit and a large matching hat.

The Harris Reed suit featured flared trousers that completely covered the star’s shoes, while she wore a black bodice underneath the blazer.

Shania, 57, chose to accessorize with dazzling Messika jewelry, while made the ensemble even more striking with the addition of a bright red wig which almost made her impossible to recognize compared to her usually shorter dark hair.

Elsewhere, nominated singer Lizzo made sure she stood out from the crowd in a voluminous orange gown and a matching floral cape.

The Dolce & Gabbana ensemble featured a corseted bodice with sparkling piping detail, which the singer teamed with orange mesh dinner gloves.

The hitmaker, 34, accessorized with two enormous diamond rings, however most of the look was lost beneath the huge floral cape which the star had wrapped around her head.

Music producer Benny Blanco chose to shun the typical black tie ensemble showcased on the red carpet

Tonight’s sees the Grammys back for another star-studded celebration honoring the best in music with a slew of big stars up for awards.

For decades, artists have been recognized for their musical contributions with the iconic gold gramophone trophy.

A career-defining achievement, the award recognizes exceptional artists in categories ranging from Best Album to Best New Artist.

This year’s nominees represent work released from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.

The nominees for the elite awards show were announced back in November by John Legend, Olivia Rodrigo, and other music stars. Nearly half of this year’s leading nominees are women and more than half are people of color, according to the recording academy.

The biggest contenders include Lamar, who scored eight nominations, along with Adele and Brandi Carlile, who both tied with seven. Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, DJ Khaled, Future, The-Dream, and Randy Merrill are all up for six awards.

Though some stars will walk away without a gong, none will be leaving empty-handed thanks to the luxury gift bags worth $60,000.

The singer, who gave fans a first look at her outfit with a series of snaps posted on her Instagram page, was seen getting help with her look on the carpet

Some of the highest priced items among the mix is a ‘celebrity arm liposuction’ voucher worth up to $18,000, a gold and crystal jewelry set worth in the region of $2,000 and a coveted Bugaboo stroller which retails for around $1,000.

Meanwhile, some of the more obscure gifts Grammy attendees can expect include a robot dog ($80), a shower head hose ($325), ‘the world’s best robotic pool cleaner’ ($400), a Nerf gel gun ($60) and a pack of 40 energy cards ($25) ‘to focus on creating your positive energy.’

The Grammy Awards will be handed on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The show is broadcast live on the CBS Television Network at 8pm ET / 5pm PT and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
