However you spent your New Year’s Eve, we doubt it was as fabulous as Selena Gomez’s. The singer saw in 2023 on a luxurious yacht holiday with a group of friends that included best friend Nicola Peltz Beckham and her husband Brooklyn, sailing around the waters of Mexico and enjoying fireworks on the beach.

And like all good BFFs, Selena and Nicola even coordinated their looks on the holiday, not only with their NYE outfits (super-short, super-sparkly Valentino dresses) but also their lipstick, a pretty warm nude shade that perfectly complemented their holiday tans, which were created by celebrity tan artist Isabel Alysa who was also on board (is there anything more A-list than bringing your tanner on holiday with you…?).

In a series of snaps posted to the new Mrs Peltz Beckham’s Instagram grid, the two women are seen posing in the sun, each holding up a lip product to their matching peach-coloured lips. And it will probably come as no surprise that the make-up items are from Selena’s very own make-up brand, Rare Beauty. Selena looks to be applying Kind Words Matte Lipstick, £19 here, in the shade Creative or Talented, while Nicola is holding With Gratitude, Dewy Lip Balm, £18 here, which has given their lips a juicy sheen in the photo.
