Spelling mistake on The Range Christmas item leaves shoppers in stitches – can you spot it? | The Sun

SHOPPERS have left been chuckling after The Range unveiled a new festive product – with one major error in the copy.

Many high street retailers have started stocking their shelves with Christmas goodies as shoppers look to get their purchases in early.

But The Range has had to explain itself after releasing a new Reindeer Spinning Glitter Bottle with an unfortunate spelling error.

Sharing the new product to Instagram, the company said: "Oh deer, oh deer, we actually cannot believe this has happened again.

"A few of you have spotted the spelling mistake. OOOPS."

And the explanation was needed because the spelling on the packaging reads "Reindeer Spinning Gitter Bottle" instead of Reindeer Spinning Glitter Bottle.

The gaff has not been missed by a number of shoppers who have shared a giggle or two on the original post.

One joked: "Sack the proof reader!," while another simply added: "Oops."

A third customer didn't seem too bothered by the spelling error saying: "Looks fab though!"

It appears the mistake hasn't swayed a number of other people away from buying the £14.99 product either.

When we checked online to buy it, it was out of stock.

However, you can get The Range to email you when an item is back in stock if you're desperate for the bottle before Christmas.

The product itself is 33cm tall by 8.8cm wide and weighs just over 1kg. You'll have to buy three AA batteries separately to get it running though.

Of course, it's always worth shopping around for the best deals when buying Christmas gifts, or food for that matter.

You may find something cheaper online after digging around.

We checked out whether you could get something similar to what The Range was offering for cheaper elsewhere.

We found one on sale at Christow for £8.99 while CPC was selling a Christmas LED Santa Water Spinner Telephone Box Lantern for £13.14.

Remember, if you're getting something delivered, you'll often have to pay delivery charges, so it's worth factoring that into the total cost as well.

Delivery at The Range can cost between £3.95 to £19.95, depending on the size of the package.

It's not the first time a retailer has landed themselves in trouble for making a spelling error on a product.

Social media users were left baffled after spotting a mistake on a kids' spelling rug last month.
