Viewers of spoof royal TV show The Windsors were left in hysterics at the depictions of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie in the coronation special.

The satire, which aired on Channel 4 last night, showed caricature versions of members of the royal family as they prepare for the coronation amid a backdrop of fractures within The Firm.

As the episode visits senior royals ahead of King Charles’s big day, his nieces chat about their outfits for the coronation – despite not actually being invited.

Through exaggerated received pronunciation accents which drawl out in a comical way, the sisters muse about when their invitations will actually arrive.

As the episode aired, viewers took to Twitter to demand a spin-off show for the caricatures of the royal sisters as the stand-out characters in the episode, demanding a spin-off show ‘pronto’.

When Beatrice (Ellie White) and Eugenie (Celeste Dring) are sat on the sofa discussing what they will wear to the coronation after Eugenie claims to have found the ‘perfect outfits’.

As Beatrice sits up and asks if they will be ‘doing fascinators again’, Eugenie pulls two ostentatious headpieces out of shopping bags and replies ‘duh’.

The pair then muse about when they will receive their coronation invitations, claiming they have been entrusted with looking after the Queen’s corgis Muick and Sandy.

Beatrice opens a closet to the side of the room and leans down, but quickly retreats when one of the dogs barks in her face.

The older sibling tells her younger sister they are an ‘essential part of the family’ and insists: ‘We are absolutely not being sidelined because of daddy being too honourable.’

Viewers have taken to Twitter demanding a spin-off show for the caricatures of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie after they appeared in a coronation special of The Windsors on Channel 4

As part of the sketch about Prince Andrew’s daughters, they reveal they are keeping the Queen’s corgis in the closet

The quip is a play on the real Beatrice and Eugenie’s father Prince Andrew and his disastrous 2019 Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis about his friendship with late billionaire and convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In the interview, the Duke of York was questioned about a trip to New York in 2010 when he stayed with Epstein, who by that time had been convicted of child sex offences.

The father-of-two claimed he had made the trip in order to end the friendship and told his interviewer: ‘At the time I felt it was the honourable and right thing to do and I admit fully that my judgment was probably coloured by my tendency to be too honourable but that’s just the way it is.’

As the comedy sketch continues and the sisters reveal they haven’t actually fed their late grandmother’s corgis for a while, they muse about what actually constitutes a dog’s diet before Beatrice suggests: ‘Sushi?’

Following the funny clip, viewers proclaimed on Twitter that the caricatures of the sisters were the stand-out stars of the show and wanted to see more of them.

Viewers took to the social media platform in their droves to demand the pair get their own spin-off show ‘pronto’.

The episode follows the sisters as they hatch a plan to launch a ‘coronation food competition’ in order to prove their contribution to the monarchy.

‘We could launch it on TikTok,’ Beatrice says, pronouncing the word as ‘TakTok’.

One viewer joked on Twitter that the sisters’ ‘TakTok’ idea was inspired – and even suggested they should enlist entrepreneur Steven Bartlett to help them in their endeavour.

Elsewhere in the episode, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex try – and fail – to pitch new ideas to Netflix and Pippa Middleton battles with her sister, the Princess of Wales and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, over getting her own coronation invitation.
