Thieves Evade Arrest After Burglarizing JoJo Siwas Home

JoJo Siwa is the latest celebrity whose home was the target of a burglary. Earlier this week, TMZ reported that authorities responded to a call placed by Jojo’s security company altering them to a break-in at her San Fernando Valley home.

Unfortunately, the robbers got away before the police could arrive, and they made off with an undisclosed amount of personal property from the singer’s home. At the time of publication, authorities said they were waiting for JoJo and her team to do an inventory to determine how much stuff is missing and the total value.

One of the doors to the home was found opened when police arrived at the scene, which is how they believe the burglars entered.

JoJo later addressed the break-in on social media and even shared some security camera footage with her followers. “It makes me sick to watch,” JoJo said of the crime.

No one was home at the time of the break-in. Police are still investigation, though the robbers remain on the loose.

JoJo is hardly the first celebrity to be the target of a home robbery. In fact, a Hidden Hills community was recently forced to increase its security after a number of uninvited visitors showing up at Kardashian-Jenner residences. After experiencing multiple attempts in a week, the community hired extra security guards as well as new cameras as a precaution.

In January, a man showed up at one of Kim Kardashian’s homes attempting to gain access to her and gift her a diamond ring. He was arrested and Kim was granted a restraining order.

Although JoJo may have lost a variety of personal property to robbers, not every celebrity break-in is a success. In December, Valerie Bertinelli avoided an attempted burglary, which she caught on her security cameras.

The actress caught several men scoping out her property in the early morning. One appears to notice her security camera, which prompts them to leave the property.

Valerie shared the footage on social media to warn her followers. “I think he stops because he sees my camera lit up,” she explained “The other one came an hour before him.”

Once she noticed the attempted break-in, Valerie called the authorities and made a report. The cookbook author added that she was installing extra security measures. “I’m installing more motion detector lights and thinking of putting barbed wire on my front fence,” she continued. “And of course, my alarm gets set every night.”
