Urgent warning for millions of Tesco Clubcard customers who have one week to use up £16million worth of points | The Sun

MILLIONS of Tesco Clubcard customers have just one week left to use up their points or risk losing them.

The supermarket giant has warned there are more than £16million in Clubcard points due to expire after February 28.

The Clubcard points, which were first issued in February 2021 and have to be redeemed within two years.

Shoppers can use Clubcard vouchers in-store and online to save money on their Tesco shop.

If you decide to use your vouchers for your Tesco shop, then 150 points gets you £1.50 to spend.

But vouchers can also be used to cut the cost of car fuel and can even be tripled in value to spend at various reward partners including Pizza Express and Cineworld.

You can also swap vouchers for money off your Tesco mobile bill.

Tash Whitmey, from Tesco, previously told The Sun: "With more than £16m worth of Clubcard vouchers due to expire at the end of February, we’re reminding customers to spend them in what can be a tough time of year."

You can find out how many Clubcard points you have in the app. Just head to your account and select statements.

How does the Tesco Clubcard scheme work?

Tesco’s Clubcard was launched in 1995, allowing shoppers to earn points as they shop which can then be turned into vouchers for money off food or other partner schemes.

Each time you spend £1 in store and online, you get one point when you scan your card or app.

You also get one point for every £2 spent on fuel.

One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you £1.50, for example.

You'll need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher.

Once you have enough points, you can turn them into vouchers worth the face value to spend in store at Tesco, or you can triple their worth to spend at reward partners, including restaurants, and on days out.

Clubcard holders also get cheaper prices on some items compared to those without the loyalty card.

Meanwhile, Tesco Mobile is to make a major change to charges that could see customers pay more.

Plus, the supermarket will give thousands of workers a pay rise from April.
