The school run is a difficult time for parents, what with getting ready, making sure the kids are fed and getting out the door on time – not to mention settling arguments. Just like non-royal children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a regular sibling quarrel – one of which turns into a “massive” argument.
Prince William once revealed that his children’s morning routine usually consists of a big argument.
On Apple podcast Time to Walk, the Prince of Wales shared that Prince George and Princess Charlotte bicker over music choice.
Access reported that the Prince said: “Most mornings there’s a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning.”
But what does William do to avoid tantrums and tears during this morning squabble?
The Prince manages to get around the problem with a rota which allows both George and Charlotte to get their go as DJ.
He continued: “And I have to now basically prioritise that one day someone does this one and another day, it’s someone else’s turn.
“So George gets his go, that Charlotte gets her go. Such is the clamour for the music.”
There is one pop hit, however, that both the Prince and Princess love to listen to.
William stated: “One of the songs that the children are loving at the moment is Shakira, Waka Waka.”
He revealed that it prompts a lot of dancing in the Cambridge-Cornwall home.
“There’s a lot of hip movements going along. There’s a lot of dressing up.”
Princess Charlotte especially is a big fan of Shakira, including her singing, dancing and costumes.
Prince William told the podcast: “Charlotte particularly is running around the kitchen and her dresses and ballet stuff and everything.
“She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing.
“And so it’s a really happy moment where all the children just enjoy dancing, messing around and singing.”
When pop sensation Shakira got word of her royal fan Princess Charlotte, she tweeted out a special message for her.
She tweeted: “I’m so pleased you like my music Princess Charlotte!”
Many royal fans took to the social media platform to praise the seven-year-old royal’s ear for music.
Fan account @lovefamilywales responded: “If William and Catherine told the kids you know them, I’m sure they are over the moon! They have very good taste in music.”
@flyingboomerang added: “Princess Charlotte is such a cutie and knows good music!”
