But there are even more ways to bag a bargain than you might expect.
We have put together a guide with helpful tips and tricks to help you save even more money at the cut-price chain.
The best time to visit
It's best to visit the store first thing in the morning so that you can scan the shelves and sniff out deals before anyone else.

You can find your nearest one using its branch locator.
Any restocking will generally happen when stores close or just before they open, meaning Poundland shops will be fullest in the morning.
It also makes sense to shop at the most quiet times to beat others to the best deals.

Look at the clearance shelves
Even in Poundland, there's a clearance shelf – and you can sometimes bag a bargain by rifling through what's left.
The shelf will be in a different place in each shop, though, so you will have to look out for it.
Poundland sells food and drink products which inevitably have use-by dates.
Scan the aisle for items that have same-day or next day expiry dates, as there's a good chance these will be heavily discounted before the store closes.
Costs tend to be cut to 50p at first, and then by a further 25p if they still haven't been purchased – meaning you could make a saving of 75p on a single item.
Non-food discounted products often sit by the till points, so head to this area first to lookout for the reductions.
Make sure to check Poundland stores at the end of each season too, as seasonal products may be marked down in order to sell faster and make room for the new lines.
If you can't see any marked down tickets, double check by asking a member of staff to show you where they are – discounts can be tricky to spot.
Check the website for prices
You can't shop for Poundland's bargains online – but the website can still help you save money.
For example, it could sell a mug for £1 in store, but for 50p online.
So check Poundland's website, and if you spot something that's cheaper than the marked price in store, ask the manager whether they can price match the item for you.
But note that honouring a price isn't an obligation, it depends on the discretion of the person in charge – though it's always worth a try.
Get social
Knowledge is power, and you can keep up to date with Poundland news on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
The Poundland Appreciation Society on Facebook has 104.9K members, meaning you'll be updated with new products and deals regularly.
One of its members spotted a £15 cardigan in store that's a dupe for a £30 Boohoo one and posted it on the channel.
Give the official Poundland channel a follow too, as it will post if there's ever a competition or event happening.
