A Place in the Sun fans annihilate ‘tight’ couple – raging ‘I’d rather burn my house than sell it to them!’ | The Sun

A PLACE in the Sun fans annihilated a 'tight' couple on the latest episode of the property show.

The Channel 4 programme sees Brits house hunt for a new abode in sunnier climates.

On Wednesday's episode presenter Lee Juggurnauth was tasked with finding one couple their perfect holiday home.

Gordon and Staci were shown five potential properties in western Tenerife.

The couple revealed now their kids have grown up they have more time for themselves.

Their plan is to one day retire to Tenerife and live permanently in their holiday home.

With a budget of £170,000 Lee got to work to find the singers their dream house.

And the property developer did just that as the couple fell in love with one house.

Priced on the market for £191,000, Gordon and Staci opted to go for a lower offer of £180k as they said the abode needed work such as having air conditioning installed.

"I will be honest, she was very hesitant when I told her the offer," cautioned Lee.

As expected their offer was rejected, and Lee told the couple the agent advised putting in a higher offer.

But Gordon replied: "I just feel the work needing to be done, I don't see the value there, I wouldn't feel comfortable."

The entertainment company owner then said: "If you could put in the offer of £182,500…"

Sadly that was rejected again, but while the owner said they would go as low as £185k the couple said they were going to "stay firm".

And it appeared to pay off as Lee revealed: "The vendor had a slight change of mind would like to accept your offer of £182,500."

He added: "The property is yours, you've got the property!"

The couple then embraced with the good news – but viewers at home weren't pleased.

They slammed the pair for being 'tight' as one went as far to say they'd sooner burn their house down than sell to the couple.

"Squeaks when he walks this fell," said one viewer.

Another blasted: "Tight c*** I hope he gets sunburnt, which looking at his hair he probably will."

"Imagine when it's these two's turn to buy a round at the pub," posted a third.

While a fourth commented: "I'd sooner burn the place to the ground than give in to the tight buyers."
