Alison Hammond ‘goes missing’ as fans call on her to replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning | The Sun

ALISON Hammond has taken a break from social media after fans called on her to replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning.

It comes as The Sun revealed Phillip and Holly Willoughby, 42, are barely speaking off camera behind-the-scenes of the ITV show.

Alison, 48, was drafted in to replace Phillip during his absence in March when his brother Timothy, 54, was embroiled in a sex abuse trial.

Holly and Phil's fallout reached boiling point at the end of last week, when he released an extraordinary statement discussing it.

Insiders said tensions between him and Holly had been rumbling for some time and were worsened by Phil’s brother Timothy’s sex abuse trial.

This week Alison, who presents This Morning with Dermot O'Leary every Friday, has kept a low profile on Instagram and Twitter and was not in attendance at the BAFTA TV awards on Sunday.
