Alison Hammond looks slimmer than ever after blackmail nightmare as she replaces Phillip Schofield on This Morning | The Sun

ALISON Hammond looked slimmer than ever on This Morning following her blackmail nightmare.

Yesterday, Alison, 48, replaced Phillip Schofield, 60 in a major This Morning shake-up.

Show fans were "confused" when Phil went missing – before The Sun revealed he's off work while his brother stands trial accused of carrying out a sex act with a teenage boy.

Alison stepped into cover Phil for two days, despite dealing with her own personal problems.

The 48-year-old wore a bright baggy orange top under a long jacket to present as she presented with regular ITV anchor Holly Willoughby, 42.

One fan said: "Alison is looking amazing!"

Another added: "Alison is looking more and more beautiful every day! She's just a delightful lady inside and out."

The presenter was putting on a brave face after a stressful weekend, which saw her alleged blackmailer arrested.

The man, aged 36, spent 24 hours in custody after he was arrested by West Midlands police yesterday.

They acted after The Sun exclusively told how the This Morning host  was confronted by a man ordering her to hand over thousands or face damaging tales being spread to end her career.

Bubbly Alison, 48, bought the blackmailer  a £5,000 BMW as his demands increased. And he  threatened “I’ll Ruin You” if she failed to lavish money on him.

Alison, who is to be the new host of Channel Four’s The Great British Bake Off, told a friend: “I’ve been so naive and feel so stupid.”

Alison showed detectives the sinister messages after summoning the courage to report him.

She told officers of her eight-month ordeal at the hands of the man, a former friend who cannot be identified for legal reasons.

The duo fronted an interesting show, which featured a segment on how to properly check breasts for signs of cancer, as well as Alison hinting she is single during a segment on dating apps.

As such, Alison is back in the hot seat – and fans are delighted.

They took to her Instagram page to flood the comments section with praise, with one writing: "Love these two. Should always be together."

A second put: "I hope these 2 are here to stay regulars," as a third gushed: "Holly & Alison have been so fun today."

One then added: "Wow @alisonhammond55 you took the lead host today you are so amazing it was like Holly was standing in for Phil."

Another then put: "Love Alison she lifts my day. Definitely a better show today with these two ladies."

Alison previously revealed the change up during Friday's show, which she co-hosts with Dermot O'Leary.
