Alison Hammond ‘set for big pay rise as she ‘replaces’ Phillip Schofield
Alison Hammond – ‘She breaks the law aswell’
Earlier this month, Phillip Schofield decided to step down from his role on This Morning after 21 years of fronting the ITV show.
His exit comes after reports that he had fallen out with his co-host Holly Willoughby behind the scenes.
Since his departure, fans are yet to see Holly back on screen as the 42-year-old has taken an extended break with plans to return at the start of June.
In light of her absence and Phillip’s exit, This Morning viewers have seen Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary hold down the fort.
However, it’s believed Alison is currently being considered to become Phillip’s full-time replacement alongside Holly when she’s back.
Although she’s been part of the This Morning family since the early 2000s, it wasn’t until 2021 that viewers saw Alison present the show with Dermot on Friday afternoons, taking over from Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
Last year, it was reported the presenter takes home a salary of £600k for her ITV role, which is expected to increase should she replace Phillip Schofield.
Recently, the Brummie star put her four-bedroom property in the West Midlands on the market, as she anticipates spending more time in London to be close to the This Morning studios.
A source recently told The Sun: “The timings are entirely coincidental but are, perhaps, telling.

“Alison loves that house but wants a fresh start. She’s incredibly in demand.
“It’s looking highly likely she will be asked to do more days a week on This Morning and therefore she will be spending more time in London.”
It seems as though Alison is currently in demand as she was recently revealed as the new co-host of Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off after Matt Lucas’ exit.
Although ITV is yet to confirm an official replacement for Phillip, Alison seems to be a clear frontrunner with fans.
Phillip revealed he was leaving This Morning on his Instagram account on May 20 by uploading a statement to his followers.
He wrote: “I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning, but recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
“Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.
“I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
“So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.”
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am
