Emmerdale star shares message to fiancée as he prepares for wedding next year

Emmerdale star James Moore, who plays Ryan Stocks in the ITV soap, has shared a cute post to his Instagram to celebrate his fiancée Sophie Edwards’ birthday.

The picture of the couple along with their cat has been created by CartoonizedWorld on Etsy and is in the style of The Simpsons cartoon, complete with the famous sofa with the wonky picture behind it – and yellow-faced, Simpsonised versions of Sophie and James.

But it’s what James has written to accompany the picture that’s really warming our hearts, as James looks forward to marrying Sophie:

‘Happy birthday to my beautiful fiancé (still feels weird saying that, fiancé) @sophedward____!! Thank you for all the love and support you give me always, even when times are tough 💜 you always light up my days and I can’t imagine my life without you! I can’t wait to marry you next year! 2024 💍’

In another picture the couple are smiling into the camera, with Sophie’s ornate engagement ring front and centre.

The couple announced their engagement in May with another Instagram post showing off Sophie’s ring. ‘We got engaged!’ James announced and he was quickly congratulated by some of his Emmerdale co-stars, including Lawrence Robb, Michelle Hardwick, Mark Charnock and Ash Palmisciano.

‘Magnificent!!!! Congrats to you both!!! Whooppp!!! ❤️x’ Mark Charnock said.

James joined Emmerdale in 2018 as the son Charity conceived after she was raped, and thought had died at birth. After a difficult start to their relationship, Ryan and Charity are now co-owners of the Woolpack.

Ryan is currently keeping quiet the fact that he knows Mackenzie cheated on Charity – but how long will he be able to keep silent?
