Al's patient tries to livestream his consultation in Doctors
Al Haskey (Ian Midlane) has dealt with a number of unusual cases during his long medical career. This week he encounters a patient with a story which seems so far-fetched it could have sprung out of one of the many science fiction stories which Al consumes during his spare time.
From the outset, Al is baffled by the behaviour of his latest patient, Liam Cotton (Jamie Redford).
Liam seems like a perfectly ordinary and pleasant young man, except for one thing: he continuously refers to himself as “we” and talks about himself not as if he is one person but a group of people. It is very odd.
After initially getting nowhere, Al has a breakthrough when he spots a camera on the back of Liam’s head. It seems like Liam is live streaming his entire life to a watching live audience on the internet.
Al loves this sort of thing and is fascinated to see the technology in action.
On the other hand, he totally refuses to do a consultation while Liam is filming it and eventually has to ask Liam to leave. But what exactly is Liam’s problem? And how can Al help him if he refuses to see him?
