BBC Breakfast presenter ‘admits’ to wearing pyjamas on air for weather segment

BBC Breakfast presenters Luxmy Gopal and Roger Johnson presented the show and poked fun at their co-star’s outfit as he presented the weather.

Owain Wyn Evans was featured during the weather forecast and had a chat with the hosts before his segment began.

They commented on their fellow presenter’s bold outfit choice after Owain said it was “lovely to see them both”.

Roger then complimented him with: “I have to say, you were sartorially elegant when I walked in at four-o-something this morning. Do you sleep like that?”

Luxmy joined in the joke and said: “Those are his pyjamas, actually. He’s just smart 24/7!”

Owain jokingly admitted that she was “right” while Roger said he “looked like a real scruff”.

The weather presenter gave the pair some valuable advice about getting dressed.

He revealed: “Last night, I had to put everything out, otherwise if I try and [pick an outfit] in the morning, it just never works. It would be a disaster! Not a good look, we don’t want to see that, do we?”

Fans were clearly happy that their favourite trio were back on the famous red BBC Breakfast sofa and Luxmy posted a tweet on Twitter prior to her appearance on the show.

She wrote: “Wishing you a joyous Sunday morning from us here at the BBC Breakfast studio. First time back on the sofa for a while but thankfully dear Owain Wyn Evans and Roger Johnson are here to keep me in order!”

Excited to see Luxmy back in her role, fans replied to her announcement and left her words of support.

One fan said that it was “lovely to see her on the big sofa again,” while another claimed she should “be a regular now” as she is “one of the best presenters on the BBC”.
