BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt slammed for 'insulting' swipe at Matt Goss | The Sun
BBC BREAKFAST's Charlie Stayt has been slammed by viewers for his 'insulting' swipe at Matt Goss.
Broadcaster Charlie, 60, was presenting Friday's show alongside Naga Munchetty.
The pair were taking viewers through the stories of the morning including the latest news on missing woman Nicola Bulley.
Towards the end of the programme Stayt and Munchetty were joined by singer-song writer Matt Goss.
Matt, 54, joined them on the red sofa and wore jeans, a blue denim shirt and a bandana around his neck.
He completed his look with a cream western-style cowboy hat – which caught Charlie's attention.

During the interview Charlie asked Matt: “Do you ride horses because you look like you’ve got one tethered up outside for when you leave Media City?”
Replying to the BBC presenter, Goss said: “Well, I thought because you don’t lower the barriers here and me being here many times when it’s raining, I’m not going to wear a nice three piece suit like I usually do.
“But it’s nice I’ve been touring and have been more relaxed and meeting more people and it’s just been beautiful.”
Despite taking it on the chin, viewers at home were furious at Charlie for the comment towards Matt.

Taking to social media, one said: "How rude of Charlie Stayt commenting on style of Matt Goss who was clean, well turned out and smart."
A second commented: “So so rude and unkind. Insulting guests shows your true self."
"Thought it was rude, but well done Matt Goss for giving him the look and treating it with contempt," tweeted a third.
While a fourth posted: "Referred to his image and compared it to a horse riding kit, suggesting twice he had come by horse."
Meanwhile, Friday's BBC Breakfast also saw Naga take a swipe at weather presenter Carol Kirkwood's replacement.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
