    Big Brother relies on recruits

Similar to other reality TV programs, production does not solely rely on self-submissions, according to Insider.

With the addition of these contestants, the program completes its candidate pool.

According to HuffPost, James Rhine from season six was one such hire.

"They found me on MySpace. They literally hit me up because they liked the modeling picture I had as a profile picture, and my old job was as a corporate investigator.

"I had never watched the show, but they kept telling me they saw me as the second coming of this Dr. Will person."

    Musical wake-up call

The live cameras are shut off each morning as the houseguests are roused for the day, according to ScreenRant.

Loud music is played in the house to wake them up.

Even though it's not the best way to wake up, some houseguests are just glad to hear music because the only other opportunity they get to listen to music is when the HOH plays it for the other houseguests.

The Big Brother house is actually a studio

Fans of Big Brother may be curious to know that the Big Brother house is not technically a real house.

Houseguests don't have access to news

Big Brother houseguests aren't given any access to the news unless it is an extreme case or situation.

According to Entertainment Weekly, since houseguest Monica Bailey's cousin was identified as one of the missing World Trade Center workers during season two filming, the residents were informed about the 9/11 terror attacks.

Houseguests were informed of Covid-19 when it began to spread in the US in 2020.

    How does Big Brother work?

Big Brother is a social game show that airs live during the summer. To participate in the Big Brother game, between 12 and 16 people—referred to as houseguests—move into a house, per InsideSurvivor.

They remain there until they are either victorious or are kicked out.

Seasons have a duration of 70 to 99 days. Competitions for the game’s powers are held every week, and the winner is the one who is ultimately sent out of the home.

Viewers may also tune in nearly whenever to find out what their favorite houseguests are doing using the live feeds Paramount Plus sets up.

Most casual viewers are fine with simply the edited programs, but live feeds are necessary for some and not for others.

    Big Brother viewership declining

Despite becoming one of the most well-known reality television series, Big Brother’s viewership has been dropping recently.

Despite a significant turning point in the history of the program for season 23, when Wisconsin attorney Xavier Prather became the first Black contestant to win, the season’s viewership fell.

When compared to the first episode in July 2021, Big Brother’s season 23 finale had a 13 percent decline in viewers.

Big Brother was tied for third place with The Masked Singer and Survivor as a result of the decline in viewers.

However, it was “a tremendous honor” for Prather, the season 23 champion.

    Don’t cut the cameras

The toilet of the home visitors is equipped with a camera, but neither the broadcast nor the feeds display the video, according to SF Gate.

The camera, according to the producers, was put there solely to prevent candidates from conspiring covertly.

However, at least once on television, video from the toilet camera was utilized.

In season two, out of rage, Shannon Dragoo used Hardy Ames-toothbrush Hill’s to clean the bathroom, per Insider.

Shannon was forced to apologize and offer Hardy a new toothbrush once the crowd saw the tape.

    Why Marvin was replaced

Marvin Achi was fired and replaced before the season 24 premiere, as The Sun can exclusively reveal that the shake-up was caused by contractual reasons.

A show insider claimed to The Sun: "The real reason is because he is on the next season of a hit Netflix show and he already filmed for it.

“On his applications, he said he has never been on TV, but he was on America's Got Talent and the Netflix show.

"Big Brother received calls from those production companies and threatened if they didn't pull him."
