Billie Shepherd shared the emotional moment she met baby daughter Margot for the first time in unseen birth footage on Sunday's episode of The Family Diaries Baby No 3 special.

The special episode looked at the Shepherds preparing to welcome baby Margot and her adorable arrival – she was born in December 2022.

It also saw the couple prepare daughter Nelly, eight, and son Arthur, five, for when their new sibling arrived, as well as them nesting and getting their home ready.

In one emotional moment, it saw Billie meet baby Margot for the first time after giving birth following a gruelling three-day labour, where she almost had a caesarean.

After choosing to keep the baby's sex a secret during pregnancy, after giving birth, the newborn was placed on Billie's chest as the excited mother asked: "What is it?"

As the room replied: "It's a girl, it's a girl!" with an emotional Billie cooing: "Oh, darling!"

Speaking in a VT, the new mother said: "I can't explain, it's the most overwhelming, amazing feeling in the world when they hand you your baby. There's just no feeling like it!"

It then cuts back to the delivery room as proud father, Greg Shepherd, cuts the umbilical cord and everyone declares: "Aw Margot!", with Greg adding: "Welcome little lady! Well done, babe [Billie], you've done really good, you've done brilliant. You've done really well."

Billie's emotional mother, Suzie Wells, is also in the delivery room as the new grandmother rings daughter Sam Faiers to show her niece Margot as she says: "Look, she's gorgeous!"

Greg and Billie had previously revealed they already had the name Margot picked out for a baby girl in memory of Billie's great-grandmother.

The couple admitted they were glad that she was a baby girl as they didn't have any boys' names picked out prior to the birth.

It comes as Billie told us recently that doctors were convinced she would have a C-section with Margot but she was determined to push her out.

The Family Diaries: Baby No3 special aired on Sunday 5 ^th February at 7:30pm on ITVBe.
