Britain’s Got Talent pulled from next week’s ITV schedule in shake-up

Simon Cowell gunged by Mr Blobby on Britain’s Got Talent

While Britain’s Got Talent usually airs on ITV with double instalments, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, next week will see a major shake-up to the schedule.

Instead of the Simon Cowell-led show kicking off at 8pm at the weekend, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will air on ITV in its place.

The reshuffle comes as a result of the Eurovision Song Contest, which airs on BBC at 8pm on Saturday.

The concert will be held in Liverpool after last year’s victory for the UK, who came in second place after Ukraine.

It was decided last year that the UK would host the event on behalf of Ukraine, due to the ongoing conflict in the country with Russia.

This year’s UK act will see Mae Muller take to the stage with I Wrote a Song.

She has big shoes to fill after the success of Sam Ryder’s Spaceman in 2022.

With viewers from around the nation set to tune into Eurovision, the decision was made to pull Britain’s Got Talent next week, but it will return on Sunday.

The last episode of the talent show saw Simon Cowell covered in gunge during a chaotic audition.

“Mr Blobby” appeared on stage and immediately caused destruction.

Somehow, the performer managed to convince Simon to join him on stage for a magic trick.

Simon sat inside a box, and once it reopened he was covered in pink slime.

Elsewhere, the latest golden buzzer went to French musician MB14 and was awarded by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.

All four judges were blown away by the act as he performed an enchanting piece of music on stage.

Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV on Sunday at 8pm.
