Carol Vorderman driven round in blacked-out cars to trials in I’m A Celeb camp

TV brainbox Carol Vorderman has revealed a major difference with the I'm A Celeb: All Stars! camp, compared with the previous camp's as celebs were driven to their trials in blacked-out vehicles.

The 62-year-old, who returned to screens across the UK to take part in I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! South Africa, has shared behind-the-scene secrets with fans online.

On Tuesday night (April 25), Carol took to Instagram for a live Q&A session and dished the dirt on the major differences that took place in South Africa compared to when she first appeared on the show in Australia.

When asked about the difference with the camps the mother-of-two mentioned that it was "hot" and "smoky" in South Africa.

She then said: "But the biggest one, I hope you're interested in this, is when you go for trials in Australia it's as you see it, you kind of walk out of camp and you go over the swing bridge thing.

"And all the trials are at the end of the swing bridge, on this one it's very different!"

She continued: "You get to the gate to go out of camp and it's about 400 yards you have to walk and often they blindfold you and then you walk this 400 yards to a blacked-out car so that you have to sit in the back of with these like curtains all blacked out.

"And then the car drives off and sometimes it drives off for like half an hour"

"So you got your blindfold on, you're in this blacked out car and you're being driven for half an hour, now whether they go round and round in circles – they don't," she joked.

The star then added: "But you know, to get from the camp to where the trial is takes a long time and you get kind of nervous."

Confused fans also asked Carol about the fact that it's not being filmed live, to which she confirmed that this is the first I'm A Celeb show that is pre-recorded.

But although the show doesn't have its usual live format, fans online have complained that they miss this element of the show.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer penned: "I actually love the concept and it’s a good mixture of people I just wish it was live and we could vote!"

While another said: £Just catching up with #ImACeleb good bunch of celebs I think… it's a good mix! But it not being live is weird…"
