Joel Dommett surprised by wife Hannah Cooper and gets kiss while hosting This Morning

Joel Dommett had a surprise on Thursday's This Morning as his wife Hannah Cooper appeared on the show while he was presenting.

At the end of the show's fashion segment, model Hannah appeared to show off the last look, leaving her husband shocked at her surprise appearance.

The comedian and TV presenter, 37, who was filling in for Phillip Schofield during his absence, appeared stunned as he exclaimed: "What? No! This is unbelievable!"

Hannah laughed as she revealed she'd been sneaking around the set all morning, before adding: "I thought you're making your This Morning debut and I would too."

Joel responded: "That's my wife! I wondered why you weren't texting me all morning. You look wonderful as well," to which Hannah joked: "That's the first time you've ever said that to me!"

The husband and wife duo then shared a quick kiss before Hannah left the set.

Joel's This Morning debut has proved popular with viewers, with one tweeting: "I absolutely love Joel. Make him a regular please [laughing emoji]."

"Can Joel just permanently replace Philip on #thismorning?" added another, while a third wrote: "Loved joel today thought he worked really well with holly more of this #thismorning."

Joel and Hannah, 31, tied the knot back in 2019 in a stunning beach ceremony on the Greek Island of Mykonos. The I'm A Celebrity Extra Camp presenter and Hannah announced their engagement in December 2017 after a year of dating.

And Hannah's surprise appearance on This Morning isn't the first time they have appeared onscreen together, with the pair previously featuring on Celebrity Gogglebox.

Joel made his This Morning debut as he stepped in to replace Phillip Schofield, and although Joel is only presenting two episodes, regular viewers will still be waiting a while for Phil's return.

During an ad break on Thursday’s programme, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary revealed to fans that they would be presenting the show for the next two weeks as Holly Willoughby and Phil take time off to enjoy the Easter break.

Elsewhere on Thursday’s edition of This Morning, Holly and Joel sat down for a chat with Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson about her latest novel, A Most Intriguing Lady.

During the interview she touched upon standing by her ex-husband Prince Andrew following the recent scandal surrounding the sexual abuse claims against him, which he has always denied.

"Well, it’s Beatrice, Eugiene and I. We are a family unit,” explained the Duchess. “ My girls stand for service, they hold and maintain very hard jobs and they are mothers and they are public figures, and they do charity work."
