Casey Woods Hasn't Walked in Four Months Following His 'Bachelor in Paradise' Injury

In case you’ve been wondering how Casey Woods is doing after fainting on the beaches of Bachelor in Paradise, the answer is…not great! Quick reminder: Casey decided to “look like a hero and hopefully get a rose” by informing Brittany Galvin that Pizza Pete had been telling everyone she was there for Insta followers. But this lead to more drama that poor Casey was prepared for, and he ended up fainting—later telling a medic (before being driven away in an ambulance) “I think it’s probably more circumstantial than physical. I kind of got into a moment where I felt overwhelmed by what was going on around me.”

While Casey’s injury didn’t initially seem super serious on the show (watch it go down in the teaser above ^) he just hopped on Insta and informed everyone that he hasn’t been able to walk in four full months.

“Went into Paradise at my physical, mental, and spiritual best… left with 3 broken bones…” he said on Instagram. “Haven’t walked in over 4 months, but trying to remain positive… thank you to everyone sending sweet messages… it means the world.”

Casey chatted more about what happened on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast saying “I fainted, and when I opened my eyes, I didn’t realize that my ankle was just destroyed. I actually tried to get up, and that’s when I saw my ankle. It looked like I had wedged a football into my ankle. They quickly put me in the ambulance, which I didn’t fit in. I’m 6-foot-3 and a third of my body was hanging out. We had 30 minutes on unpaved roads and my ankle was just bobbing up and down. It was so painful.”

Casey had an immediate procedure on his ankle when he got to hospital, and then a CT scan back home revealed he’d broken all three of his ankle bones. “It was an insane and unexpectedly bad break,” he said. “I had three weeks before I could even get surgery because the swelling was so bad they wouldn’t be able to put it back in place, so they waited for the swelling to come down. I spent a little over a month spending all day, every day in bed with my leg up.”

Yikes. Feel better Casey!
