Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins star Calum Best shows off the results of SIXTH hair transplant – using patches of his beard | The Sun

CELEBRITY SAS Who Dares Wins star Calum Best showed off the results of his FIFTH hair transplant.

The 42-year-old went to Crown Clinic in Wythenshawe, Manchester, to get the procedure done.

Calum, who has admitted that he started to lose his hair in his 20s, had 2,000 grafts taken from his beard and attached to his head by Dr Asim Shahmalak.

Speaking about the decision to have a go at the new treatment, Calum said: "I had my sixth hair transplant because I have a very aggressive hair loss gene.

"While all the transplanted hair I've been given has stayed permanent, I've continued to lose more of my natural hair.

"It is very unusual to use beard hair for a scalp but I have been running out of donor hair on the back and side of my scalp where surgeons normally extract it because of my previous procedures."

The reality king has had three other procedures done by the professional at the same clinic between 2012 and 2015.

Calum also travelled to Turkey in 2021 to have another hair transplant at Istanbul’s Cosmedica Clinic.

Dr Shahmalak has worked with other famous faces including Corrie legend Jack P. Shepherd and Homes Under The Hammer star Martin Roberts.

The star is over the moon with the results.

Calum added: "Without Dr Shahmalak's help, I would look completely different.

"I feel and look ten years younger with my hair preserved, thanks to the wonders of science and the skill of my surgeon.

"But more important than that I feel so much better about myself. If science can sort out a problem, why not use it if it is going to improve your mental health and put a smile on your face?"
