Coronation Street actor announces he is engaged to his longterm girlfriend | The Sun
CORONATION Street actor Richard Fleeshman has announced he has got engaged to his longterm girlfriend Celinde Schoenmaker.
The TV and stage star, 32, took to social media and revealed he popped the question earlier this week during a romantic trip to Africa.
Richard, who starred as Craig Harris in Coronation Street aged 12 to 16, shared the news of his engagement via a post uploaded to his Instagram feed.
One snap shows Richard and Celinde’s silhouettes as they stand in front of the sunset.
The former Corrie hunk penned: “Went to Africa with my girl. I’ll be heading home with a fiancée. Couldn’t be happier.”
Richard’s celebrity friends were quick to express their joy at their pal’s happy news as they flooded the comments section on the post to congratulate the couple.

Richard’s former Corrie co-star Nikki Sanderson wrote: “Congratulations.”
While ex Corrie actress Catherine Tyldsley commented: “Oh guys! Huuuuuge congratulations.”
Hollyoaks star Jessamy Stoddart gushed: “Ahhh congratulations you beautiful pair.”
Celinde also shared a gushing tribute to her new fiancé as she revealed the news to her own Instagram followers.

Sharing a snap of the beaming for the camera, the model and singer wrote: “WOW! Thank you for all the wonderful messages! Really feeling the love, we’re having the time of our lives. Big love to you all from me and my FIANCÉ! Wooohooooooooow.”
Richard has been dating Celinde since they met in early 2018.
The English actor, who started acting aged 12, was born in 1989 in Manchester and is the son of former Brookside and Coronation Street actress Sue Jenkins and actor and director David Fleeshman.

As well as being well known on stage and screen, Richard is a singer-songwriter.
He joined Corrie in 2002 and was the youngest person to win Stars In Their Eyes celebrity special when he was just 13.
Richard supported Elton John on tour in 2008 on three occasions.
