Coronation Street Christmas first look sees pregnant teenager Summer ‘sell her baby’

Coronation Street looks set for explosive scenes this Christmas as pregnant teenager Summer Spellman appears to go through with her plan to sell her baby in new filming photos.

Only recently, Esther Hargrave offered to adopt Summer's baby as she and husband Mike Hargrave can't have kids.

And after learning about Summer's planned termination, she offered the youngster money in a bid to change her mind.

After thinking through the pros and cons with boyfriend Aaron Sandford, Summer ultimately decided to have an abortion.

This week, Summer meets up with Mike and Esther at a private hospital and agrees to let them adopt her baby.

And after learning that Aaron's dad needs £10k for rehab, Summer announces to Esther and Mike that she needs £10k up front.

Later, Summer drops the bombshell on Aaron that she's still pregnant and giving the baby to Mike and Esther in return for money, which means his dad can go to rehab. How will he react?

And now, new filming pictures see the teenager appear to go through with her plan as Summer star Harriet Bibby, Esther star Vanessa Hehir and Mike star Tom Lorcan were seen filming on location.

In the photos, it sees Summer pictured with a brown envelope in her hand as she visits Esther and Mike's home.

Is it money in the envelope and is she going through with their plan or could she be returning the cash in a twist?

It comes after Coronation Street fans went wild last month after recognising newcomer Esther star Vanessa.

Vanessa, 41, is best known for playing Rosie Cartwright in Heartbeat between 2001 to 2007.

The actress also starred in Emmerdale as Nurse Summers between 2010 to 2011, Waterloo Road as Sue Lowsley from 2013 to 2014, and Doctors as Kirsten Lind from 2008 to 2009.
