Coronation Street fans demand answers after legendary character ‘disappears’ from soap | The Sun
EAGLE-EYED Coronation Street fans have all been left saying the same thing after noticing one of the show's biggest stars has vanished from our screens.
Fans of the hit ITV1 soap have been left puzzled as to the whereabouts of Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, claiming she has disappeared amid a multitude of high-profile storylines involving her family.
Gail's family are always at the centre of drama on the Corrie cobbles but this time she appears to be missing out on all of the action.
Amongst some of the Platt's current stories are Gail's brother, killer Stephen, and his murderous ways as well as aiming to keep his financial troubles hidden as well as her grandson Sam Blakeman and his obsession with his mother's killer Harvey Gaskell.
Most prominently, her grandson Max Turner, is currently being groomed by the despicable Griff and getting himself involved in a whole heap of trouble thanks to his new friends racist ways.
As well as this, her son David has been having trouble trying to parent Max but Gail has been nowhere to be found.

The mother-of-three usually jumps at the chance to interfere in her children's lives but it appears this time Gail could not care less as viewers are yet to even see if she is aware of the goings-on.
This has been the talking point amongst fans online who have all been airing their thoughts on whereabouts Gail is.
Taking to Digital Spy's online forum, one wrote: "At the moment we currently have Gail's family involved in numerous storylines -Killer Stephen, Racist Max, Sam's penpal – yet considering she is the central cog connecting this family, she seems to be one of the most irrelevant members.
"We saw during Aidan's suicide she is still capable. So what's going on?"

One fan in response then blasted the show's bosses for their use of Gail, writing: "The show don’t take Gail seriously and haven’t for years I’d say."
Another disapointed fan said: "She has been in more episodes than anyone on Corrie history bar Ken and will overtake him one day. She deserves a lot better.
"I would have thought she would have been more involved with Max's plots not least because she must be enjoying David suffer at the hands of a problem child."
While one concluded from her lack of screen time: "Gail may as well be written out of Corrie for good."
It remains to be seen what Gail will have to make of her families latest turmoil or whether she will continue to be hidden from view until they are all over and then return as if nothing ever happened.
