Coronation Street fans work out rekindled romance after attack

Coronation Street: Daisy and Ryan have heart-to-heart in hospital

Ryan Connor (played by Ryan Prescott) has been struggling to deal with the attack and took his anger out on ex-girlfriend Alya Nazir (Sair Khan). Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) was eager to speak to Ryan but Alya was adamant he needed no more visitors, however, she snuck back to the hospital room later to comfort him. Their shared trauma and romantic history have left Coronation Street fans theorising the pair will reunite, leaving Alya and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) devastated.

After Daisy first arrived in Weatherfield, she set her sights on Ryan despite the fact he was already in a serious relationship with Alya.

Daisy enjoyed winding Alya up after the pair got together and even flaunted their romance in front of her face.

However, it wasn’t long before she realised Ryan still had feelings for Alya and ended their romance before finding love with Daniel.

Despite their bumpy start, Ryan and Daisy had remained friends and would often help one another out if needed.

After Daisy’s stalking ordeal, Ryan took Daisy to one side after noticing she was having a panic attack and offered her some friendly advice.

Ryan’s services recently came in handy once again as he offered to step in as the DJ at her wedding, as well as collecting the right cake and intended on taking Daisy to the ceremony.

However, Justin Rutherford’s (Andrew Still) attack left the pair haunted, with Ryan lying in the hospital with dressings down the side of his face and down his body.

Daisy was desperate to speak to Ryan during Wednesday night’s episode as she couldn’t help but feel responsible for the attack, she bought him a smoothie and said: “Hey, I snuck out.

“Ryan… look at me. You had a visitor today, Crystal and she is devastated obviously and she knows it’s going to be a while before your ready but she can still call you right?”

Emotionally, Ryan told her: “They are saying I’m lucky. You kept calm, you got me in the shower and stopped the acid from burning me.”

Daisy played down her heroic actions and quipped: “Just following instructions, anyone would.”

Wanting her to know how much she had helped him, he added: “Cutting my burning clothes off knowing it could burn your own fingers.
