Coronation Street spoilers: Paul faces arrest in police drama amid health crisis

Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) is at the centre of more drama in Coronation Street later this year as he’s pulled over by the police.

Peter Ash, who plays Paul, was pictured on-location filming the upcoming scenes for the ITV soap, which see his character driving in a new car, while being chased by the police.

The mechanic is soon pulled over and quizzed by the authorities.

The question is: just what has transpired? What’s more, is it in relation to his on-going health crisis?

The builder, as viewers know, has been struggling since being knocked off a motorbike by Carla Connor (Alison King), who drove the Underworld van while unknowingly drugged up on LSD by killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce).

Unable to keep control of the vehicle, she crashed into Paul, who had been trying out Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) new motorbike nearby.

The incident left Paul with an injury to his hand, leaving him concerned about how he would be able to work, and thus he visited Dr Gaddas last week, hoping to get an update on how long his recovery would take.

Dr Gaddas, however, informed him that it could take him six to 12 weeks to fully recover from the ordeal, which left him horrified.

Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell), meanwhile, was quick to suggest that he go after Carla for what happened, unaware of what she’s going through at Stephen’s hands.

In order to make up for loss of earnings, Paul and Dee Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) decided to sue Underworld.

Peter, however, had other ideas after he discovered that Carla was not insured to drive the van, and therefore he offered Paul an outright settlement of £15,000.

Paul was chuffed and accepted the offer immediately, but Dee Dee urged him to reconsider, and ultimately he took her advice, leaving Peter concerned that Carla, who is not herself right now, will lose everything.

Peter and Carla revealed the truth about the insurance, resulting in Dee Dee having to break the news that they would no longer be able to sue Underworld, but would rather have to go after Carla herself.

Heartbreaking.

Paul’s chase with the police is not the only major drama coming up in Weatherfield, with stars from the ITV soap having recently been spotted on-location filming for Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) wedding.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
