Coronation Street star confirms Stephen kills another character in just weeks

Coronation Street star Todd Boyce has weighed in on the future for Stephen Reid, confirming that he’s got no plans to go anywhere just yet.

The actor staged a comeback last year as Stephen, who would subsequently embark on a murderous rampage, killing two residents in a bid to keep his secrets hidden.

Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost) was the first to fall victim to his reign of terror, with Stephen pushing him from a balcony at Underworld, before disposing of his body in a bin.

Then came Leo’s dad Teddy, who he attacked with a hole punch, before getting rid of his body in the river.

The narrative, which has received a strong response from audiences of the show, is set to continue, with Stephen – who almost claimed another victim this week – set to carry on his dastardly killing spree.

According to The Mirror, Stephen will kill again in just weeks, with actor Todd discussion the possibility of his character claiming at least ‘four or five’ lives in a bid to become the street’s biggest ever killer.

‘And after that I think there could be more,’ he told the publication.

‘He has a taste for it now and I think he figures that if he gets caught for three, he might as well get caught for four or five.

‘It would be great to go down in the record books as the show’s biggest serial killer. What a thing to be known for.’

given how many killers there have been on the street over the years, that would certainly be an achievement!

Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) has been spending a lot of time in Stephen’s company as of late, so could he prove to be the killer’s next victim? Who knows, but the residents of Weatherfield had better watch out!

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
