Coronation Street’s Aadi star pays sweet tribute to new co-star

Stephanie Davies made her first appearance in Coronation Street this week as Courtney Vance, who seduce Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) and the actor spoke highly of her before her debut.

Aadi has recently admitted to having feelings for Amy Barlow (played by Elle Mulvaney) and has been desperate to spend more time with her.

Aadi and Amy had planned to spend the night together after he had finished his shift for Darren Vance (Ryan Early).

However, after meeting Courtney for the first time picking her up from her day shopping, Aadi soon felt comfortable in his new role.

In upcoming scenes, Aadi and Courtney are set to have an affair with one another which could jeopardise Dev Alahan’s (Jimmi Harkishin) investment with Darren.

Aadi actor Adam praised Stephanie’s arrival on the show and admitted he was concerned at first.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press, he praised: “Working with Stephanie Davis has been so easy to get along with.

“Her being the talented actress that she is, has made the work come out great.”

However, he went on to admit: “It is quite an intimate storyline, I was a little nervous and also excited.

“I have never really done anything quite this intimate but this storyline takes things up a notch by being quite raunchy in some scenes.

“I was looking forward to trying out some new stuff which I haven’t done before and it has been quite fun. I was a little worried and concerned about the chemistry between Aadi and Courtney.”

During Wednesday night’s episode, Courtney made her arrival by getting into the car and confusing Aadi.

Explaining who she was, Courtney said: “Aadi? I’m Courtney, Darren’s wife. You’ve been waiting for me?

“Look sorry I took so long, you know how it is, you get talking and you lose track of time. You ok?”

Aadi shyly replied: “Yeah,” before Courtney continued: “Every boss prefers honesty over politeness, although good manners can get you a very long way.

“I could murder a kebab, Darren hates junk food but I love it, so, do you where we can get a good one from?”

Later, Aadi returned to the car with a kebab and chips for her, leaving her to express her love for food and the pair instantly hitting it off.

Sharing their chips, this is the start of Aadi and Courtney’s relationship but how far will they take it?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
