As he held on to the pooch, Jack was loving his new co-star and said: "Look at him, look at him!"

David the dog was introduces as the dog of a character called Mrs Moss, who was a client at Audrey’s salon.
Mrs Moss loved human David, so much so she named her little dog after him – before leaving him to David in her will when she died.
Mrs Moss passed away in 2017, and the pup has been with the Platt's ever since.
But as Jack introduced Corrie fans to the new David, some were concerned. One fan asked: "Wait, a new David the dog actor? What happened to the old one?" A second echoed: "What happened to the other one??" While a third added: "Where is old David the dog?"

The youngster was played by actor Harry McDermott, who went on to portray the character for a decade until 2020.
