The Bailey's were thrilled when Dee-Dee arrived from America and viewers can't wait to see what's next for the newcomer.
However, as Dee-Dee settles in, James decides to leave Weatherfield for a new life in London in upcoming scenes
Daily Star take a look at the lives of the stars behind the Bailey clan.
Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges)
Although Trevor Michael Georges is fondly known by fans as Weatherfield resident Ed Bailey, the actor has had roles in a number of rival soaps before his Corrie stint.
He played Sergeant Cooper in BBC hospital drama Casualty in 2003, before playing a dad in EastEnders one year later in 2004.
Trevor also appeared as Paul Kelly in Doctors in 2006, as well as Gareth Gannon in Holby City in 2019.
That's not all, as the actor also rose to fame in TV series such as The Ink Thief, opposite Crystal Maze legend Richard O' Brien in 1994, before landing huge roles in series including Whitechapel, People Just Do Nothing and Doctor Who – where he was the vicar at the ill-fated marriage of Catherine Tate's character Donna Noble.
Trevor was hailed a hero in 2021, after he stepped in to help a man who had become dragged underneath a tram in Manchester.
The actor was shopping when he spotted the man being dragged under the tram, and after helping him, stayed with him until an ambulance arrived.
Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw)
Between 2009 and 2014 Lorna was seen on the CBBC series Grandpa In My Pocket, on which she played the much-loved role of Miss Smiley.
As well as that, the actress was one of the presenters on the BBC children's series Tikkabilla from 2002 to 2007 making her a staple of kids' TV for an entire generation.
She hosted alongside the likes of Justin Fletcher, Sarah-Jane Honeywell, Simon Davies and a number of other names.
Lorna's work on BBC daytime soap drama Doctors led to continued career success for the actress as she gained prominence amongst an older audience.
She joined the cast as Mrs Winifred Tembe in 2011 and remained part of the show until 2019.
In 2016 self-confessed Denzel Washington fan Lorna also directed three episodes of Doctors.
Lorna quit the role in January 2019 saying: "The character was just fantastic but I think I'd done as much as I possibly could with her at that moment."
James Bailey (Nathan Graham)
Coronation Street viewers will be surprised to know that Nathan is a lot older than his character.
The actor celebrates his 31st birthday on December 5, making him 10 years older than his onscreen alter-ego.
He is also older than his Corrie co-star Ryan Russell, who plays James' older brother Michael.
Asked in an appearance on This Morning in 2019 whether his youthful looks meant he got asked for ID a lot, James replied: "Sometimes yeah, maybe now I might not hopefully."
Before landing his Corrie role, Nathan enjoyed a glamorous jet setter lifestyle.
Over recent years, the star has enjoyed a number of holidays abroad and has kept them well documented on his Instagram page.
These include trips to Cancun in Mexico and Venice in Italy, where the actor enjoyed a scenic Gondola ride.
Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell)
Long before Ryan rose to fame as Michael Bailey on Coronation Street, the star made his name as a presenter for popular children's TV channel CBeebies.
He made his first appearance on the channel however in 2003, when he appeared as one of the children on the channel, before landing a full time presenter role in 2017.
Along with presenting CBeebies, he also entertained generations of children on the programme The CBeebies House Show, as well as in their pantomime of Thumbelina.
Coronation Street is his first major acting role, which has seen the star become involved in huge storylines including being a victim of racism.
Not only did Ryan land one of his breakthrough roles on CBeebies, he also found love with a fellow presenter.
The Coronation Street actor is currently dating actress and presenter Evie Pickerill, with the couple regularly sharing sweet snaps together on social media.
Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown)
Channique's Corrie role was confirmed earlier this month.
Posting the news to Instagram, the actress shared her delight at being cast in the role of DeeDee by posing for an exciting snap in front of The Rovers Return.
She wrote in a caption: "I am sooo excited, for all that is to come and incredibly grateful for this new chapter in my career!"
The 25-year-old star regularly posts updates to her Instagram of her outfits – and even shared when she shaved her hair off on her 25th birthday earlier this year as she holidayed in Turkey with her best friend.
Prior to shaving her head, Channique went makeup-free for an intimate photoshoot.
In March last year, the stunning actress put her "Afro and stretch marks and rolls" on display in celebration of International Women's Day.
Ronnie Bailey ( Vinta Morgan)
Vinta has previously opened up about the racism he has suffered throughout his life.
He said the "subtle, systemic and overt racism has had a profound impact" on him, and specifically spoke out one particular incident which happened when he was just 11 years old.
The actor, who has also appeared in Official Secrets and The Sight, told Digital Spy and other media that a police officer stopped him on the street when he was just a child.
"One of the main experiences I can think about is when I was probably about 11 years old. A police officer stopped me on the street and asked me to tip my school bag out onto the floor on the pavement," he recalled.
"I had to throw all my stuff out and I didn't know what to do as it was an adult. It was really for nothing. I was just picked on, and I'll never forget it, because it actually was very scary."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV.
