"Toyah new hair #Corrie," penned one viewer as a second wrote: "#Corrie Toyah gone blonde!"

Another person added: "Toyah is looking good #Corrie," as a fourth shared: "Omg toyah’s stunning blonde weave #Corrie."

Fans seemed happy at the return of Toyah, given that she hasn't been seen regularly over the past few weeks.

"Toyah. Glad she has a storyline coming up #Corrie," tweeted one fan as another echoed: "Great to see Toyah back," followed by two clapping emojis.

During the episode, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) headed to the Bistro with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and the girls enjoyed a drink.

But as the two got up to dance, Amy spotted a man attempting to entice his wife with a dance.

Grabbing his wife's hand, the man said: "They've got the right idea. Come on!" as she laughed: "No! I'm too drunk."

The interaction brought back horror memories of Amy's rape ordeal with Aaron and she demanded the man leave his wife alone.

A drunk Amy then left abruptly left the Bistro as Toyah insisted Summer leave with her to look after her.

In upcoming scenes, Toyah will support Amy through her ordeal as she opens up about her assault that took place back in 2001.

In the harrowing scenes, Toyah was raped in an alleyway by Phil Simmonds (Jack Deam).

As Toyah approaches Amy, she suggests the teenager try counselling as she believes she would benefit from it like she did.
