Fiz and Tyrone's love story began over two decades ago when the pair shared their first smooch.

Despite being building connections with other residents, and even marrying some of them, the pair also seem to find their way back into each others arms.

It has been confirmed that the upcoming Christmas storyline will follow Tyrone's plan to marry Fiz in a secret wedding on December 25.

Fans will have to wait and see if the finally make it down the aisle but it has been a long time coming.

Speaking to Daily Star and other press at a recent Corrie event, Alan said: "It was interesting because we did an interview and we got to see back our very first kiss, which was 21 years ago.

"So I've probably been kissing Jennie for longer than anyone else in my life.

"It's crazy and there's been so many times where they have been close but hopefully this time they make it."

He added: "I think a lot of people want to see Fiz and Tyrone together. We get it a lot in the streets as well. People say that to us in the street when we're out and about."

"There's also the personal and selfish aspect of it as an actor. I love working day by day with Jennie and we have great fun and times doing that for two decades."

Alan went on to share that he and Jennie had a giggle filming the festive scenes after they discovering Tyrone's gift for Fiz.

He said: "This is one of them moments when you get the scripts and I read the script to see what Tyrone gives to Fiz on Christmas Day and I must admit I burst out laughing.

"When we tried to film it, we burst out laughing again. It's horrendous really. I don't really want to give the game away."
