Corries Mollie Gallagher unveils new fringe transformation at British Soap Awards

Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher showed off her new fringe hair transformation as she stunned on the red carpet at the 2023 British Soap Awards on Saturday.

The 25 year old star, who is best-known for playing Nina Lucas in the ITV soap, looked gorgeous as she showed off her new look, with her blonde hair backcombed behind the fringe.

She opted for bold red lipstick and fluttering black lashes, which went perfectly with her statement jewellery.

Her dress was elegant – a black off-the-shoulder number which she teamed with matching coloured heels.

Other stars showing off their looks included Corrie favourites such as Charlotte Jordan – who brought her A-game in a hot pink gown.

Sally Ann Matthews and Lisa George from the soap also looked stunning as they posed on the red carpet.

Former Loose Women star Jane McDonald is hosting the awards this year, having taken over from Phillip Schofield, who stepped down as the host, after he resigned from ITV.

After news of her new presenting gig was announced, Jane shared her excitement.

She said: "Oh my god…..everyone knows how much I LOVE my soaps, this year I’ve been honoured to be mentioned in Corrie, EastEnders and Emmerdale, so this is just a dream come true.

"I can’t wait to see all our wonderful soap nominees and celebrate all their hard work with them – roll on the awards, I can’t wait!"

The five biggest soaps – Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks – will be battling it out to win recognition for their work over the past year.

It comes after Phillip was axed from all his ITV shows and commitments after he confessed to an affair with a much younger This Morning colleague, just days after he stepped down from the show.

Originally, despite stepping down from This Morning, Phillip was due to present the British Soap Awards, as he has done for 17 years.

But after admitting the affair, Phillip stepped away from ITV entirely, and will no longer be seen on the broadcasting network, amid the furore that he has faced over the past couple of weeks. He was also dropped by his talent agency, YMU after 35 years.
