Corrie’s Sophie star Brooke Vincent returns to the ITV cobbles after four years
Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent has teased a permanent return to the ITV soap after returning to the cobbles with her young son.
The actress played Sophie Webster on the cobbles from 2004 until 2019 – in a total of more than 1,200 episodes.
Looking chic in an ankle-length grey checked coat and leather trousers, Brooke posed at a variety of locations around the set with her toddler son Mexx.

Adding a black baseball cap and hot pink trainers to her ensemble, Brooke looked a far cry from her days as Sophie as she crouched down outside her on-screen dad’s garage, Webster’s Autocentre.
In another snap, Brooke and her son walked down the cobbles towards the Bistro, passing the parked cars in the street under a perfect blue sky.
Mexx could be seen outside the Kabin alongside the iconic paperboy, before the pair headed to the Rovers together and even took a peek behind the scenes in the costume department – and watched Sophie’s mum Sally in a scene alongside Tim.
Captioning the sweet snaps, actress Brooke wrote: “The most iconic street!
“Today I took Mexx back to Corrie, last time I was here I was about to give birth to him!! 3 years have [passed], everything has changed, yet everything is still the same…
“I saw old friends and people I literally spent over half my life working with!! Forever a huge part of me. Until next time… we had the best time visiting.”
Her Corrie co-stars hurried to the comments section to beg Brooke to come back permanently, with Sally Dynevor – who plays Sally Webster – writing: “Soooo good to see you Brooke! We need you back.”

Sally-Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny Connor, said: “Alex took good pictures! Gorgeous to see you both.”
While Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith posted: “Come home then!”
Ellie Leach, who plays Faye Windass, and Brooke’s on-screen sister Helen Flanagan also rushed to put heart emojis on the snaps, while Abi Webster star Sally Carman moaned: “I am GUTTED I wasn’t there today!”
Another fan suggested Mexx could even play Sophie’s son in the soap, writing: “I think you need to return with a surprise – Mexx!”
“You need to come back to the street,” someone else begged, as a third social media user said: “We need Sophie Webster back!!!”
