Corries Stephen abusing Aaron as fans spot doppelgänger at police station

Coronation Street viewers are convinced that Aaaron was beaten up by Stephen – and that the businessman could be his dad.

During a recent episode of the soap, Aaron flinched when Summer tried to tickle him.

After telling her that he had been attacked, Summer urged him to report the incident to the police – but instead he became angry and told her that he "wasn't listening to him."

The couple made up, but Aaron looked panicked when he received a threatening phone call, with viewers hearing him say to the mystery caller: "Five? I thought you said it was… sorry, okay, I'll come now. No please don't, I'll leave now, right now.

"Sorry it's my mistake, I just got mixed up."

Fans think they have now 'worked out' that Aaron has a heartbreaking secret, with some commenting that they think he is a victim of abuse at home.

They grew even more suspicious when Stephen was seen at the police station reporting vandalism to his car – and were left convinced that Aaron was sat behind him in the police station.

Taking to Facebook to discuss the theory one fan posed the question: "At the end of last night's episode was Aaron sat beside Stephen when he went to give a statement to the police? Only saw the back of his head so it probably wasn't."

Other users of the social media site then rushed to comment on the post as they gave their take on the theory.

One commented: "I thought that too."

Another agreed: "I thought it was him."

A third chimed: "It could have been. That's why it was noticeable for us to see. If it is Aaron he's probably there because of getting beat up. Which I think he gets from his dad or his mum. But it couldn't be Stephen as he would have noticed him.

A fourth posted: "No it wasn't Aaron. I rewatched the ending to see and it definitely wasn't him."

A fifth argued: "Yes it was. You saw him as Stephen walked through the door."

Viewers have already considered that Stephen might have been the voice on the other end of the call, warning Aaron that he was going to report Kevin to the police and he would be charged for the damage to his car and Aaron not wanting his new boss to get into trouble.
