Corrie’s Teddy ‘not really dead’ as fans twig ‘final nail in coffin’ for Stephen

Coronation Street fans have rumbled the ‘final nail in the coffin’ for serial killer Stephen Reid, as they reckon his latest victim Teddy is “still alive”.

Last week, fans watched as Stephen beat Teddy around the head with a heavy stapler in Underworld, when he uncovered the truth about his son Leo’s death at the Canadian’s hands.

Teddy passed out cold on the floor, before Stephen was rudely interrupted by first Michael and then other members of the family, who helped him secure the roof-box – containing Teddy’s body – to the top of Audrey’s car.

However, Stephen was left terrified as he realised his mum had driven off with the body still attached.

Now fans think Teddy wasn’t killed after just one blow, and could wake up in his plastic coffin ready to tell Audrey the truth about her son.

Taking to Twitter to air their theories, one fan guessed: “Here’s a twist. Teddy is alive but unconscious, wakes up and bangs on the box. Audrey stops the car, realises Teddy is in the box and has a heart attack from the shock. Teddy suffocates.”

Another, however, predicted Audrey will finally expose Stephen’s crimes, writing: “Would love love love if Teddy is alive in that roof-box, extricates himself and gives Audrey a fright in the Peaks!”

Another echoed: “Do you think it’s possible Teddy might not be dead and Audrey gets the fright of her life when he regains consciousness and starts banging on her car roof-box?”

“I wonder if Teddy’s mobile phone will ring and Audrey will get a nasty surprise when she checks the roof-box…” someone else suggested.

As a fifth fan said: “Calling it! Teddy’s alive and Audrey is going to get the shock of her life when he bangs on the box! It’s all starting to unravel for Stephen – not before time!”

However, someone else suggested Teddy being alive could end up killing both him and Audrey off, tweeting: “Teddy still alive? Audrey crashes car and roof-box slides into a lake?”

Teddy wouldn’t be the first serial killer victim twist on the ITV cobbles, as Pat Phelan squirrelled away Andy Carver in a sick hostage plot after he was presumed dead.
