DOIs Patsy Palmer poised for exit after shaky performance, bookies say

Dancing on Ice star Patsy Palmer could be the next contestant to leave the competition, according to gambling company William Hill.

The former EastEnders star gave a confident but "shaky" performance during week one when she took to the ice for the first time in front of the nation.

But although Patsy and her dance partner Matt Evers scored a respectable 21 points for their dance to Ride On Time by Black box, bookmakers William Hill seem to think it wasn't enough.

Sharing their thoughts with Daily Star, William Hill's spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: "Our punters clearly feel Patsy Palmer’s time on Dancing On Ice is beginning to freeze out.

"We are 2/1 for the former Eastenders legend to depart the show on Sunday night, making her the outright favourite to be next eliminated.

Lee added: "Also don’t bank on Michelle Heaton (11/4) and Ekin-Su Culculoglu’s (3/1) chances of safety, after the pair similarly failed to woo the judges."

Patsy, 50, previously caused uproar amongst viewers who thought her points from the judges were too high compared to other stars such as Joey Essex who appeared to be more skilful on the ice.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer fumed: "Torvill and Dean giving Patsy a 5.5 and Joey a 6.5 when he was streaks ahead of her and she forgot the bloody steps."

Another echoed: "Patsy did okay for the first skate but it wasn't perfect you can see she's struggling when skating solo she doesn't want to let go of Matt."

While a third chimed: "love Patsy but I felt she was pushed around the ice and was unsteady on her skates and seemed to forget some of the moves, shame."

Last week, after landing in the dance-off alongside Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, former footballer John Fashanu was sent home packing.

Sharing his thoughts on his departure, John told presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that his experience had been "great," before stating that it was like the FA Cup final all over again.

When asked if he would continue to skate, the sportsman replied: "Oh yes! I shall carry on skating and who knows, I might even start teaching people."
