Double exit for Stuart and Rainie as they leave EastEnders in a funeral car
Stuart (Ricky Champ) and Rainie Highway (Tanya Franks) have left EastEnders for a new life together in a one-bedroom flat with a view of the North Circular.
Aw, romance.
Rainie returned to Walford at the start of the week to help Stuart, who had locked himself in the surgery and was refusing to let anyone out until he saw another doctor as he was convinced he had been misdiagnosed.
Rainie was successful in helping Stuart, who finally accepted he had post-natal depression.
Tonight, Jay (Jamie Borthwick) had confirmed Stuart wouldn’t get his job back, so Rainie desperately tried to find him another one.
Initially, it looked as though Rainie and Stuart were about to go their separate ways. Stuart held out his hand for a friendly handshake, and then Rainie made a huge offer.
Rainie wondered if Stuart liked one-bedroom flats in London with a view of the North Circular – and it turns out Stu LOVES them.
Reunited, Stuart and Rainie packed up their things in a funeral car.
Stuart said his goodbyes to Mitch (Roger Griffiths), Karen (Lorraine Stanley), Bernie (Clair Norris) and Ben (Max Bowden), telling him that he will reunite with Callum (Tony Clay) in the end, but Stuart also said that if Ben breaks Callum’s heart, he’ll come back for revenge.
So, it’s a farewell to Stuart and Rainie.
Rainie had everything she needed, and Stuart was ready for recovery, both knowing their future together will be brighter and happier.
Miss you both already!
