EastEnders fans might recognise Brett actor Fabrizio Santino from another famous soap role, as the actor makes his debut in the BBC programme.
Following Brett's arrival on the square, Daily Star takes a closer look at actor Fabrizio Santino's life.
Hollyoaks fame
Long before Fabrizio stepped onto Albert Square as Brett, the star had a recurring role in another rival soap.
Between 2013 to 2015, the actor played Ziggy Roscoe in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, before the character's tragic Christmas day death that left viewers – and fellow cast mates – devastated.
The shocking storyline saw Ziggy try to save Leela Lomax, after Cameron had attempted to kill her at her home.
However, in his attempt to save Leela, Ziggy suffered internal injuries and a blow to the head.
After sitting down in a chair at The Dog pub, Ziggy passed away from his injuries and was found by the love of his life Tegan, who thought he was asleep until she discovered the heartbreaking truth.
The truth broke the hearts of the Hollyoaks cast, as well as fans, with actor Cameron Moore who played Cameron Campbell, said: "I am expecting a massive backlash. I was absolutely gutted about Fab leaving, especially when I found out it'd be Cameron's fault!"
He also expressed sadness at fellow actor Fabrizio Santino leaving the soap, adding: "Even though I am expecting a backlash, I'm not too bothered about that – it's more sadness that I won't get to see Fab every day."
That's not the only role that Fabrizio has had however, as the talented star has also appeared in Hollywood films such as Captain America: The First Avenger, along with Fragments and It Never Sleeps.
Real age
Fabrizio does not appear to have aged a day since leaving Hollyoaks more than eight years ago.
However, fans may be surprised to learn that the actor, born on December 12 1982, is actually 40 years old.
Away from the limelight however, the star tends to be quite private, and it is is not known if the star is single or in a relationship.
Hunky transformation
Fans were left in awe as Fabrizio rocked a hunky transformation on social media in 2022.
The star swapped his clean shaven look and slicked back hair for a beard and long brown locks, as he walked topless on the beach in a hunky Instagram snap.
Wearing a pair of black shorts and showing off his toned abs, Fabrizio captioned the post: "Today I celebrate my 40th and feels sooooo good!!
"I’m so grateful for so many things and I’m in complete control of my life. I chose to get away cos this time of year really does trigger me but celebrating in the sun by the sea for me there’s no better feeling!"
He signed off the post: "Here’s to a positive year ahead!! Thank you to all my friends and family for reaching out today and checking in your kind words of affirmation have truly touched me! Thank you!"
Fans went wild for the snap, with one commenting: "Looking beautiful in a beautiful place," while a second added: "Looking good champ."
