EastEnders episode guide: Lola's devastating, Kathy betrayed and Sam's pain
There are shocks in store for two EastEnders stalwarts next week, with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) stunned by a wedding proposal and Kathy Beale (Gillain Taylforth) rocked by a betrayal.
Things have been hot and cold between Sharon and her lover Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters). Just when things were going in the right direction, he messed things up.
Unprepared to give up, he leaves Sharon in shock when he asks her to be his wife, and she is torn over what to do.
Will some advice from Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) help?
Meanwhile, Kathy is on the warpath when the wife of Rocky (Brian Conley) shows up out of the blue, and wastes no time in outing the truth.
Realising she has been lied to, will Kathy end things for good with him?
And elsewhere, emotions run high for Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) as she is called into the hospital.
Back home, she also has a lot to deal with as she makes a realisation about Lexi while Emma (Patsy Kensit) is being shifty again.

Monday March 27
It’s the grand opening of Boxing Den, as Kat, Sharon and Phil host an opening event. Eager to impress Phil, Ben steps in at the last minute to take part in a demo as one of the boxers is taken ill, but it doesn’t go his way.
Keanu is downbeat as he’s dismissed by Sharon once again, but after some words of encouragement from Sam, and Karen who begrudgingly shares her advice, Keanu makes a declaration of love at the gym and proposes to a horrified Sharon in front of stunned onlookers
Lola is busy making preparations for her charity fundraising event, but is stopped in her tracks when the hospital ask her to come in for an early appointment.
Jay tries to hide his concerns from a panicked Lola, and remains optimistic about the visit.
Linda frets as she waits for an update from her lawyer on the status of Janine’s plea and starts to worry about the potential of a trial.
Sharon and Alfie rally around Linda and convince her to attend the gym opening.
At the gym, Linda and Alfie bond over their shared history with boxing, and Linda later gets an update on Janine.
Rocky worries that his past will catch up with him as he and Kathy prepare to meet the Vicar to discuss their upcoming nuptials.
Back at home, Rocky struggles to contain his guilt as he overhears Kathy gushing to Bobby about her second chance at love.
Rocky retreats to the backyard but he’s interrupted by a concerned Sonia who is stunned when Rocky reveal’s he got married 25 years ago and they never got divorced.
Tuesday March 28
Keanu hurries after a shocked and angry Sharon and declares his love.
Later, Kat arrives and encourages Sharon to listen to her heart.
Sharon remains torn but a frank conversation with Sam convinces her to re-think and she invites Keanu over.
Sonia is disgusted to learn about Rocky’s secret, and gives him an ultimatum – tell Kathy by the end of the day or she will. Rocky heads home to meet with Kathy and the Vicar where he continues to lie about his past.
Sonia shares her disdain for Rocky to Reiss who manages to convince Sonia to take a more sympathetic view. Panicked that she may have ruined everything, she rushes over to No.45 on a false pretence.
Later, Reiss and Sonia strategize with Rocky about his predicament and he starts to feel more optimistic about the future.
Lola insists that she wants to plough on with the fundraiser. Later Lola asks Sam if she can hire Peggy’s for the event but Sam declines.
Lola lashes out before Phil steps in promising Lola that Peggy’s is hers for free if she needs it. Lola is touched by Phil’s generosity, leaving a drunken Sam humiliated that her brother has undermined her once again.
Sam and Alfie drink together in The Vic as they speak about their respective failed love lives. A tipsy Sam and Alfie share a joke about his relationship with Linda, unaware that she is listening. Upset, Linda later confronts Alfie.
Wednesday March 29
Rocky enlists the help of Sonia, Reiss and Harvey to try and track down his wife, Jo but to no avail. Sonia encourages him to be honest with Kathy.
In the café, Freddie senses Reiss’ struggle and steps in and tracks Jo down within minutes but when he learns about Rocky’s lies, Freddie heads to the car lot and takes his revenge before revealing to Rocky that he tracked Jo down and gave her Kathy’s address.
Rocky is horrified when he spots Jo approaching No.45 as she reveals her identity to Kathy.
Lola remains determined to push forward with her fundraiser event. After arguing with Ben to prioritise their daughter, Lola is overcome with emotion when she realises that Lexi believes that she will get better.
Thursday March 30
Kathy is stunned as Jo barges in to No.45 followed by a guilty Rocky and all hell breaks loose.
Sonia and Reiss discuss the situation with Kathy and Rocky with both sympathising with the other person.
With Reiss’ words ringing true, Sonia heads over to Kathy’s to try and convince her to give Rocky another chance.
Having been touched by Reiss’ actions, she invites him to visit Bangkok to meet Bex, but Reiss isn’t convinced by the idea and he explains he can’t afford it. Sonia isn’t fazed by his reaction.
After a hugely successful fundraiser, Lola asks Emma to join her and Lexi’s girly night in.
Emma awkwardly declines the offer, which raises alarm bells with Jay who fears that Emma is unable to cope with Lola’s declining health. Jay confronts Emma before she drowns her sorrows in The Vic and opens up about her mum-guilt with Sam.
