EastEnders fans go wild as Suki and Eve kiss after weeks of sexual tension

EastEnders fans have been sent into meltdown as Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin shared a steamy kiss.

The unlikely lovers locked lips after Suki invited Eve for lunch to say thank you for being there for her as she opened up about being abused by her controlling husband.

During the meal, Suki began rubbing her foot against Eve's leg, giving the impression she's interested in her.

Eve later went around to Suki's house and told the Minute Mart how she feels about her.

She later went in for a kiss with Suki but things didn't didn't go to plan.

Suki reacted by slapping Eve in the face and ordering her out of the house.

While Suki was left flustered, viewers at home took to Twitter to share their excitement about the potential hot new couple in Walford.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Ouch I felt that, Suki was making all the moves until now, can't blame Eve for rushing in #EastEnders."

Another added: "Oh Eve take it slower, she's so excited to tell Suki how she feels #EastEnders."

A third person posted: "Make Eve and Suki happen #EastEnders."

While a fourth social media user said: "Oh Eve you laid that on way to thick You should of waited for Suki to say something first. #EastEnders."

It comes after Suki opened up to Eve about her controlling husband, who is currently behind bars.

The matriarch expressed her concerns about her husband Nishandeep’s release from prison.

Picking up on her fears, Eve asked her if Nishandeep was abusive, a question to which Suki responded with: "Not physically".

"He’d belittle me," she added, reflecting on her relationship. "Humiliate me. Decide who I was allowed to see [and] where I went.

"His family would tell me that’s just his way. "

"He controlled every inch of my life."

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Nishandeep was due to be released from prison after being sentenced in 2002 for murder.

Eve offered Suki support, but upon realising that Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was hiding behind the sofa of the living room of No. 31 – where this very conversation was taking the place – she swiftly made her excuses to leave.

Fans of the BBC One soap will have to wait and see if a romantic spark returns for Eve and Suki.

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One at 7.30pm
