EastEnders fans recall scene that 'gives away' identity of Lily's baby daddy | The Sun

BBC One viewers are desperate to know who the father of Lily Slater's baby is.

Diehard EastEnders fans believe they've uncovered the girl's secret as they recall scenes aired months ago.

News of Lily's pregnancy was a major shock to the system for many viewers of the drama.

The storyline caused a storm on social media with some fans arguing the soap has gone too far.

To make matters worse, the 12-year-old girl has refused to reveal the identity of the baby daddy, prompting viewers to come up with their own theories.

Several characters have been tipped to be the father of Lily's baby as soap bosses remain tight-lipped.

Nugget Gulati, Denzel Danes and Ricky Mitchell have all been added to the list of suspects.

But in a sinister twist, and as part of an abuse storyline, some fans expect an older Walford resident to be responsible.

19-year-old Freddie Slater has most notably been thrown into the mix.

Yet a handful of fans have made their minds up, believing scenes aired in November, 2022, gave away who Lily slept with and when it could have happened.

The pair of youngsters have found themselves in difficult situations in recent months as Lily felt isolated following her fall out with Amy Mitchell.

Ricky, on the other hand, struggled to cope with his sister's self-harming ordeal and felt neglected by his father Jack.

Could they have found comfort in a secret relationship?

Soap fans have taken to Twitter, convinced Ricky may actually have been meeting Lily in secret during times he would head out to see his friends.

"14/11/22. Ricky stuck up for Lily during an argument with Amy. Hidden a text on his phone", one viewer penned.

It's clear they did their research: "Left Amy’s birthday party to see a mate. Next morning said he’ll be home late."

"Next morning Lily smiling at her phone hiding it away from Stacey. Could this have been the day?"

A second fan wondered: "Could Ricky actually be Lily's baby Daddy? She's had a lot to deal with recently, what with Jean's illness & he's also had everything with Amy's self-harm & might have been feeling a little neglected potentially? Can't see it being Denzel, he likes Amy. Will? Nugget?"

"We've also seen instances where Ricky would go off on his own like when they were having Amy's Birthday meal for example", a third viewer jumped in.

They added: "In addition, Ricky has been on his phone a lot lately. Although in terms of face to face scenes between the pair these have been minimal."

"Who remembers that episode where Denise asked Ricky in the pub where is he going and he goes 'to meet a mate' that mate was Lily", a viewer concluded.

Could they be on to something?
