EastEnders fans ‘rumble’ how Suki Panesar really fell after spotting clue

There was more drama afoot on Thursday’s instalment of EastEnders as the show picked up from Wednesday’s cliffhanger which saw Suki Panesar fighting for her life after falling down the stairs. As regular viewers will know, Suki was discovered lying at the bottom of the staircase by her son Vinny as her husband Nish stood over her.

The shocking ‘accident’ came after Suki had revealed she no longer loved her husband and had reported him to the police earlier in the episode, with all signs pointing to Nish as the culprit behind her sudden fall as the episode closed. However, as the episode picked up where the show left off on Thursday, it was suddenly clear that things may not actually be as they initially appeared.

While Suki was lying on the floor, Nish could be seen urging Vinny to call for an ambulance, just as Ravi arrived on the scene. While Nish raced outside to help flag down the paramedics, Suki could be seen urging Ravi to hide her suitcase, as she had been planning to run away with her lover Eve and start a new life away from Walford.

This small detail implied that Nish was unaware of Suki’s plans to leave him, meaning he may not be the culprit behind her fall after all. However, many fans felt he was simply putting on an act to appear innocent after he quizzed his wife about what had actually happened.

You’re gonna be ok I know it," Nish told her, as he fondly kissed her forehead, prompting a dazed Suki to ask: ”What happened?"

Nish then looked his wife in the eye before telling her: "You must have just fallen down the stairs, why were you rushing huh?”

Clearly troubled by the question, Suki soon replied: "No idea… I don’t even know why I’m crying.”

While the show has yet to reveal exactly what transpired, fans at home have been quick to share their theories as they took to social media to speculate about the real reason behind Suki’s fall.

One fan speculated: “Nish hesitated touching Suki there.. so did she fall after he provoked her and now is making sure his fingerprints are nowhere?”

A second also agreed he may be behind the fall, as they added: “Nish is an awful liar we know you pushed her babe. he would be way more concerned if he didn’t.”

A third fan however also agreed as they argued: "Wait, does Suki really not remember what actually happened or is she still just desperately tryna save herself from Nish's wrath? She did tell Ravi to hide her suitcase after all. Come on Vinny, Ravi open your eyes. She's clearly beyond uncomfortable round Nish sadly."

A fourth viewer also weighed in and added: "Ok Suki is definitely covering for Nish. I think he pushed her. She wouldn't get so emotional about it other wise."

Before a fifth commented: "Suki is definitely covering for Nish – the way she looked at him in that hospital bed. She was flat out petrified. She's physically trapped by her monster pathological husband and it's heartbreaking."
