EastEnders fans ‘work out’ that Theo will be the one to die at Christmas
EastEnders airs special flashforward scene for Christmas 2023
EastEnders fans have been trying to solve the mystery of who dies at Christmas, and some viewers believe they’ve worked out it could be “creepy” newcomer, Theo Hawthorne (played by William Ellis).
Theo inserted himself into the Slaters’ lives, and while Martin Fowler (James Bye) doesn’t trust him, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and teenage daughter Lily Slater (Lilia Turner) have welcomed him with open arms.
Fans of the BBC soap recently discovered though that Theo is in fact Stacey’s anonymous secret admirer who views her content on SecretCam.
Now that his identity has been revealed, some fans think the Christmas Day victim could end up being Theo.
Viewers began to theorise the twist following Thursday’s revelation about Theo’s identity.

Twitter user @mouseboating penned: “So #eastenders Theo is now a contender to die at Christmas… but with a Stacey and Martin reunion on the cards I can’t help thinking that maybe he does something to Martin and the blood on Stacey’s hands is from trying to save him.”
@x_beaumont_x shared: “It better not be Theo on that floor At Christmas #Eastenders.”
“Theo’s going to be a big problem by December. #1 choice for the Christmas corpse. #EastEnders,” @mattFarris wrote.
Joanne_Conway echoed this theory, adding: “I am beginning to think that the dead person at Christmas is Theo #EastEnders.”
@Rosskiernan_ commented: “Oh for f*** sake it’s Theo at Christmas isn’t it? #eastenders.” (sic)
@LF207170 tweeted: “Calling it now Theo is the dead body at Christmas! #EastEnders @bbceastenders.”
Back in February, a flashforward to December 25, 2023 showed six of Walford’s most iconic women standing over the dead body on the floor of The Vic.
Stacey, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) made up the concerned crowd.
Could Theo become more of a threat, forcing Stacey to take extreme action which somehow ends up involving the whole group of women?
Perhaps she kills Theo in the pub in an act of self-defense and the others are witnesses to the scene.
EastEnders continues on Monday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
